The Golden Globes, the Critics’ Choice Awards have came and gone, and the British Academy Awards made their favorites known. The road to the Oscars narrows it’s journey on early Tuesday morning, the Academy will announce their nominations, and we will finally see after months of predictions and hypothetical leanings how the Oscars will vote. What is fascinating about this year is how open and unpredictable the races are. While there is no doubt certain films and performances that will no doubt be safe locks, there are numerous categories where it can play off anyway. Who will get the Best Actor 5th slot? Will Emily Blunt pull of one or two nominations? Looking at the twelve biggest categories that include picture, director, four acting races, two screenplays, foreign film,  cinematography, editing, and of course best animated feature it was very challenging to narrow these predictions down.

Predicting the Oscars is very unpredictable and always uncertain. One can pour all the analytics of how things can turn out, and all we have is our intuition and gut. One thing is for certain, every year there is always snubs and surprises.  Down below are my Oscar nomination predictions.
